The Manilla is the name given to an unknown Dutchman that
wrecked in the North East Breakers. The exact date of her sinking is not known,
but has been placed somewhere in the mid 18th century. It is believed to be a
slave ship, as trading bangles and glass beads have been found in the
surrounding sediment. She appears to be lying upside down, but mainly the only
things visible is the stack of cannons now overgrown with coral.
